Title: Blue Exorcist Abridged; Episode 1 ((by BlueX Abridged))
Catagory: Abridged Series
Rated: (I want to say rated 13+)
Genre: Super Natural, Action, Adventure, Religious, Comedy
Official Release Date: April 18, 2012
Still Running?: I honestly don’t know…
Extra Info: (n/a)
Review/Summary: The first episode was… well, I’m not gonna say it was good, BUT it wasn’t bad either. The voice used fro Rin (the protagonist) seemed fine, but the voice for Yukio was too similar to their father, Shiro. Shiro’s voice was good, especially since it reminded me of Alexander Andersen from Hellsing Ultimate Abridged by Team four star… but that have been the idea. the voices of the church helpers were also too similar in voice. Some of the jokes were a little dry, while some others were decent or were funny. The pop culture references were kept at a minimum that was just right for an abridged series. I especially liked the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme reference that rin sang, and it’s change in the lyrics to suit the show. The “Rocky” theme was kind of classy when Shiro appeared to exorcise a demon pocessed human teen. The Dante appereance and reference was decent as well… but not a lot of people know Devil May Cry that well to fully understand the meaning of the joke or reference (I had to look it up to see why Rin “stole” his thing or whatever). I gave this series a star rating it would be a 3.5. I suggest that this person who created this one a few things, maybe make a nerdy stereo type voice for Yukio (i.e. Mandark from “Dexter’s Lab”) or maybe even a Sheldon from “Big Bang Theory” based voice. Keep in mind and try to not make your voices too similar to one another for the characters… if they are a lil similiar that’s fine. You can ask others to help out as well if you think you can use it. Lastly as someone’s first abridged series’ episode wasn’t as good as later ones… I suggest you should continue with what you started and have fun. The series has full potential.
Recommendation?: I would recommend it to people to see if they chose to, like I said it wasn’t terrible :)

I just laughed so hard that I banged my leg against the table next to me and knocked my Mizrahi hamsa ornament off it. I can’t decide if this is creepy, slightly ironic, or the universe’s way of telling me I’m being a Nazi.

Nah bro, that one sentence is all someone needs to tell if you’re any of those things, no physical identification is required.

Fischer needs to get back to us when they start rounding up all the Christians and putting them in concentration camps.
I hope the great majority of Americans are laughing at this shit head.

homofascists

I feel like it’s time to remind Fischer that the Nazi didn’t kill people like him, but they sure as hell killed a lot of queer people.

Oh, hey, it’s the worst person in the known universe saying more bile and shit. Woohoo.

this made me laugh… I Jewish but… Homo Sexualaity isn’t a race or a belief it’s bio chemical thing in you that makes you attracted to people differently than those who are straight :P

Title: Lucky Star
Catagory: Anime Review (i haven’t finished the manga yet T^T)
Genre: School life, randomness, slice of life, comedy
Official release date: anime release April 8, 2007
Still Running?: no, ended in September 16, 2007 with 26 episodes
Extra Info: the same creator of “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamiya" made this series as well (manga ka)
Review/Summary: What can I say about the crazy and wacky world of Lucky Star…. well it’s pretty interesting to watch, I’ll tell you that much (laughs). Lucky Star takes place in Japan and it’s based mainly around 4 girls in high school, Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Miyuki Takara, and Tsukasa Hiiragi. Their personalities are similar and different at the same time, but they are based on 4 types of real life girls, so girls can relate to at least one of them easily. Konata (blue haired) is the typical tomboy otaku, who is also lazy when it comes to school/homework and is very athletic. She’s flat chested and pretty short. Her mother died when she was a tot still and was raised up by her otaku-gamer dad. Konata likes to play games like WOW or Diablo rpgs on the computer mainly, and her homeroom teacher happens to play with her sometimes online. Her love for anime and manga is really huge. She brings most of the comedy relief into the show. Tsukasa (short purple haired) is shy, a bit passive, lazy as well with school/homework, and is known for sleeping in till even as late as dinner time! Tsukasa’s personality is as cute as she is. She’s also the youngest of Hiiragi twins. She may be bad at school work and waking up and is slow and ditzy, but she’s an excellent cook and baker. Miyuki (pink haired), is soft spoken sweet heart, who may be clumsy and air headed but pretty damn smart and depenadable. She is said to have many “moe points” according to Konata (glasses, big busted, cute, air headed, sweet, ditzy, klutzy, etc.). Miyuki is also polite and calls everyone by “-san” and comes from wealthy but rich family. She was raised by her mother who is similar to her in personality. also is in the same class as Tsukasa and Konata and is their classroom’s rep. Kagami (pigtails) is the more rational one, but is also dependable. She doesn’t like that her own younger twin sister, Tsukasa, is lazy with school/homework. but she also doesn’t like that Konata copies her homework without even trying to do it on her own. Despite that about her, Kagami does like Konata as a good friend and is a class room rep. like Miyuki, although she isn’t in the same class the three of them. Being the rational one of the group, she tries to bring reason into the topics, although they aren’t always correct but close. She and Konata do play video games but mainly very different ones and on occasion if it’s a mutual one, she’ll ask Konata for help. Also Kagami is named after the manga ka of the series. The show not only revolves around these four girls in school but also them outside of school and their own lives at home or in general. The show is pretty random and sometimes reflects back on old topics they’ve already talked about (i.e. the famous chocolate cornet topic). They also make a lot of anime/manga and Haruhi Suzamiya refferences. Other characters get added into the show like later on or other family members. At the end of each episode (except the last one) there’s a short bit show called “Lucky channel” with two other characters name Minoru Shirashi and Akira Kogami. I’ve also learned to never mess or question Konata about her and her chocolate cornet.
Recomendation?: I would highly recommend this series to anyone!!! Unless you can’t take randomness that much  (laughs).
